In the spring and summer of 2024, Momentum completed its first solar plant in Sweden. The plant is located west of Stockholm, between the E18 highway and the railway connecting Västerås and Stockholm, and covers an area of approximately 11 hectares.
With an installed capacity of 7.29 MWp, the plant is expected to produce 7.5 GWh annually. Along with the solar plant, we also plan to establish a 2 MW battery storage system, which will be the first of its kind for Momentum.
The project has been in planning for several years since Momentum acquired the rights, and it underlines our ability to develop projects outside Denmark as part of our strategy. The market for solar energy in Sweden is still in its early stages, and with this plant, Momentum is among the first to both develop and construct solar projects in the country. We look forward to realizing more similar projects in the future.
The plant has been built in collaboration with SVEA Solar and E.On, and we expect to connect the plant to the public grid in October 2024.
