We are incredibly proud that Momentum was awarded the ESG award at the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2024 last night! This award is both a tribute to our journey as a company and to all our employees who work every day to promote the green transition.

The jury highlighted, among other things, our fundamental philosophy that we want to and can make a difference, as well as our view on the interaction between man and nature. Their reasoning was as follows:

The jury was in no doubt when the winner of the ESG category was chosen from an otherwise strong field of companies with both big ambitions and great results. Momentum Energy Group stood out in several areas. They have a fundamental philosophy that they WANT to make a difference and that they CAN make a difference.

There is a sympathetic philosophy about the interaction between man and nature. The desire to make a difference is the foundation for the long-term development of the company. And it doesn’t stop at good intentions, because they have put their words into action and created results that benefit not only themselves, but society and the world around them.

For Momentum Energy Group, sustainability and ESG are not just letters for decoration on a website. The whole idea of extending the lifetime of wind turbines, for example, is close to genius. Imagine taking something that is good for the environment – and making it even better for the environment. Momentum Energy Group has gone far ahead with their circular thinking.

What started 25 years ago with two thirds of a wind turbine has grown into a true growth adventure today. The wind turbine is still a fundamental part of the company’s DNA. And there’s no doubt that this will continue far into the future.

The award is a great recognition of the company’s entire business foundation and the systematic work we have done to integrate ESG throughout our organization. Since the end of 2021, we have focused on documenting our efforts and anchoring sustainability as a natural part of our mindset, and in 2023 and 2024 we have accelerated further.

We look forward to continuing our work for the climate, environment and society – and we are grateful for this recognition that we share with our entire team.
