Windfarm Planning Engineer
Job description
Do you dream of helping to develop the green transition? And can you see the potential in working in a growth company, where changes are a completely natural part of your everyday life and our shared journey? We are busy, so we are now looking for you.
At Momentum, we have a clear goal to reduce global C02 emissions significantly and in the most sustainable way. With an innovative approach, we are at the forefront and are a central player on the market in the transition from fossil energy to clean energy sources such as wind and solar.
What will be your areas of responsibility?
Your overall responsibility will be to support the development team with the essential inputs and deliverables to determine the feasibility of projects. The main tasks will be to perform site specific wind resource assessment and wind energy yield evaluation for greenfield and repowering projects in pre-construction stages.
In addition to that, your work tasks include,
- Geospatial analysis for layout optimization.
- Environmental impact assessment of the designed layouts.
- Screening of potential areas and site selection for development of wind energy projects.
- Geographical information deliverables generated using QGIS.
Who are you?
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a Master´s degree in Wind Energy Engineering or a related field, with substantial experience in the standard wind industry tools WAsP and/or WindPRO. Familiarity with GIS software, specifically in handling vector data is a plus. We also expect you to have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience from the wind industry, where you have worked in one or more of the above-mentioned areas of expertise.
As you will encounter many different types of tasks in this job, we expect you to be able to work analytically and systematically in your task solving.
We encourage all interested parties regardless of age, gender, religion, or ethnicity to apply for the position.
