Momentum Energy Group acquires Windturbs
With effect from 1/1 2023, Momentum Energy Group A/S (Momentum), through its 100% owned subsidiary Momentum Energy Wind Services ApS, has acquired “all shares” in Windturbs ApS. The company will continue in Momentum’s name.
With the acquisition comes seven employees and three service vehicles. Momentum significantly increases its presence in wind turbine service in Denmark, and now has over 40 employees, 15 service vehicles and spare part locations and workshops throughout the country. Momentum Energy Wind Services now services more than 500 turbines in Denmark, making the company one of the largest and fastest growing wind turbine service companies in the market.
Momentum’s CEO, Kim Madsen, says about the acquisition:
“We have long had our eye on Windturbs, which we think fits well with Momentum’s strategy of being a market leader in knowledge about wind turbine operation and repair. It is also our stated goal to be able to service both our own and our customers’ wind turbines throughout the country, quickly, efficiently and competitively due to our local presence and extensive experience. In a time of turbulent electricity markets and high energy prices, it is crucial that we can get to the turbines as quickly as possible and get them up and running again without too much downtime. For this reason, we have established a 24/7/365 monitoring center, and the acquisition of Windturbs ApS is a perfect fit for us. We warmly welcome new employees and customers, and we look forward to working with them to make a huge difference in the green transition, which continues at full speed.”
