Potential to install +300 MW wind and solar
Momentum’s project development department has submitted proposals for three projects to Tønder Municipality before the application deadline for renewable energy projects on December 16, 2022. Two of the projects are larger combined solar and wind turbine projects with a total installed capacity of 207 MW and 107 MW respectively. The third project application is for the replacement of four existing wind turbines at Emmerlev with four larger, but completely renovated, used turbines.
“We are excited to see how the administration and the City Council assess our projects in relation to the other applications in the stack. However, we are confident that thanks to good preparation, we have been able to design our projects with a focus on lots of green power generation, synergy effects and local value creation. Tønder Municipality’s high ambition for local anchoring fits well with our project models,” Kristian Månsson, Head of Project Development at Momentum Energy Projects.
Together, the three projects will make a significant contribution to the green transition. In total, the three projects will generate over 420,000,000 kWh of green power annually, which is equivalent to the annual average electricity consumption of 84,000 households of 5,000 kWh. If all goes well, the three projects will be commissioned during 2024 and 2025.
